Head Coach Larissa Libby
Larissa Libby enters her 19th year as head coach, and 23rd year overall, at the University of Iowa in the 2023 season.
During her tenure in Iowa City, the Hawkeyes have been a consistent top 25 team nationally, as she has led the program to 21 straight NCAA Regional appearances (individually or as a team). During the 2022 season, Libby led the Hawkeyes to the NCAA Regional Final and Adeline Kenlin to NCAA beam runner-up honors. It came on the heels of a 2021 season where Libby led Iowa to the Big Ten regular season title — the first in program history.
The three-time Big Ten and two-time NCAA Regional Coach of the Year has coached 11 WGCA All-Americans and six first-team All-Americans at the NCAA Championships. Libby has coached 14 Big Ten champions, six NCAA Regional champions, 11 NCAA Championships qualifiers, while 54 student-athletes have earned All-Big Ten honors, including 26 first-team selections.
The Hawkeyes have also excelled in the classroom and has had a strong community presence under Libby’s watch. Forty-eight student-athletes have been Academic All-Americans.
The GymHawks’ program surge continued during the 2022 season under Libby’s watch. The Hawkeyes posted five of the top eight scores in program history during the season, won the first session and finished third at the Big Ten Championships before knocking off No. 6 LSU in NCAA Regionals to advance to the NCAA Regional Final for the first time under the current format. The Hawkeyes scored a 197.075 in the Regional Final — the second-highest score and just third 197 in program history.

Facilities
FIELD HOUSE
The Field House is located on South Grand Avenue, just west of Rienow and Slater Residence Halls and just east of the University Hospitals and Clinics. Parking is available in Lot 6 underneath the South Gym or in Lot 14, a parking lot southeast of the Field House. The main entrance of the Field House is located on the east side of the building on Main Street.
The Field House North gym is home to the GymHawks. The 20,000 sq ft facility was recently renovated in 2015. It is equipped with three foam pits, resi mat landing surfaces on all events, a full competition floor, 60-foot tumbl trak, trench bars, and more. Television monitors allow athletes to play back past turns taken on all four events.

ADMINISTRATIVE FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.
REFUNDS ARE DETERMINED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

The $100 Administrative Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Refund payments are figured on the camp fee minus the administrative fee.

Refunds are determined on a pro rated basis by the number of days the camper has not participated in camp.

Participation in any part of a session constitutes participation for a day.

DO YOU OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS?

The UI Athletics Department does not sponsor any scholarships for camp or clinic attendees. The University offers the E.B. Green Scholarship for attendance at any University-sponsored youth program.
HOW DO I GET DOCUMENTATION TO CLAIM CAMP FEES ON MY TAXES?

If you are eligible to deduct camp fees for TAX purposes, use TAX ID#426004813.
DO YOU HAVE TO LIVE IN IOWA TO ATTEND CAMP AS A RESIDENT?

No, resident refers to your status while you are attending camp, not your home address.
WHAT IF I CAN'T GET A MEDICAL RELEASE OR SCHOOL PHYSICAL?

A medical release MUST be signed by a doctor OR a copy of your school sports physical performed within one year of the camp date to attend any of our camps. If you come to camp without a medical release, you can contact a doctor and have them fax a copy or go to a local UI QUICK CARE and have a sports physical performed. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. If you choose to have a doctor fax us a copy, your child will be unable to participate in any sessions until this medical release is received by the Athletic Trainer.
WHEN IS MY MEDICAL RELEASE DUE?

When you apply online, you will be required to provide your insurance information; the medical release may be mailed later. However, it is best to send your completed medical release before you check in the first day of camp, and you can do this via fax, scan and email or US mail. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, AS YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE UNTIL THE MEDICAL RELEASE OR A COPY OF THEIR SCHOOL PHYSICAL IS RECEIVED.

WHAT AIRPORT SHOULD I USE?

The Eastern Iowa Airport (CID), located in Cedar Rapids, IA is approximately 25 miles north of the University of Iowa campus.
CAN I VISIT MY CHILD WHILE THEY ARE ATTENDING CAMP?
-
You are welcome to come and watch any session your child is attending. If you need to remove your child for any reason, make sure their counselor is notified.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE IF MY CHILD IS INJURED OR NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION WHILE AT CAMP?

If your child is injured during camp, they will be taken to our Athletic Trainer immediately, and the Athletic Trainer will determine what action is required. If necessary, the Athletic Trainer will contact the parent/guardian and discuss care options. We can take the camper to UI Sports Medicine or the UI Emergency Department. Cost for treatment of injuries and/or hospitalization is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. We will have your insurance information from your online registration.
WHO DO I TALK TO IF MY CHILD NEEDS TO TAKE MEDICATION WHILE THEY ARE ATTENDING CAMP?
